If I unplug my Ign module and check the wires what should I get, please let me know your color and letter of wire. My wires are pink, green, blk/wht, and white. When I check for ground I'm showing the blk/wht grounded and also pink... I beleive I should only show one wire to ground , thus this maybe what is causing my coil not to spark? Also if my pink wire is shorted to ground can anyone tell me where the other end goes to or send me a schematic.. The info I've been reiceiving is different color wires, maybe for a different year car. Also note the last time car ran good but all of a sudden I noticed tach was not working. Where does tach signal and ignition coil meet or have in common. Does a 96 have a tach filter?
I tried checking my 93 FSM to see if I could assist but wire colors are different so it won't help, sorry. Agent 86 can often come up with wiring diagrams, if he doesn't reply you might try to PM. Good luck.
I'm trying to find it. I've found that it's the 4-WAY F METRI-PACK 150 SERIES, # 12040754, Black in color, Innition Coil Module connector. I'm trying to find the wiring diagram. I'll keep looking.

Here are a few tests to get you started on the problem. Be the utmost of careful not to short anything to ground. ING key off, remove Ignition Control Module connector and check the ground connection on pin C - BLK/WHT wire, (resistance about 0) .
Next, “Key on”, check for about 12 volts at pin A - PNK /BLK wire and pin D – Dark green wire. If no voltage check the coil fuse 10A, (#25?), or wiring.
If all is good, set meter to read AC volts and connect probe to terminal B – white wire (from PCM). Have some one crank engine, meter reading should be between 1 to 4 volts AC. Key off! Put connector back on. If OK, this indicates opti and PCM are probably working. If not, opti or PCM could be source of problem. Figuring out which one might take additional information and work. If all is good, the Ignition Control Module could be defective. Although the coil could cause the same symptom, the ICM is more of a likely candidate.
To eliminate the coil wire, attach another wire from coil and hold near ground while some one cranks engine. If is arks, coil wire could be bad usually near the water pump.
This is for a 94, no books at work, best I can do for right now. And I would assume the 96 does have a tach filer.
If you like to work on the car, I advise you to get the Helms books.
