Yes excellant advise, all. My crack looks like a smile, parallel with the windsheild. Two more questions, do you think I could glue it from the bottom (inside) so it doesn't show? Or would that give it a better chance of leaking? Oh yeah, does anyone know where to get one of those little metal "butterfly" pieces that hold the windows tight (front corners of the top)?
Now I chose to not go with the coating (145.00) because it's not a daily driver. Not a bad price, reinstallation was perfect, no problems with windows or lining back up.
FYI to all, John at Ameripol suggests to always loosen up the bolts on the top before jacking or lifting the car. This is even more important if the Glass is old to help prevent cracking. I figure what the hell it only takes 30 seconds to do that, and it could save hundreds.
