My digital instrument lights come ON with the key.
Day or night, when the key is turned ON, the instrumment lights turn ON.
IF the interior lights HAVEN'T timed out, switching the KEY ON will cancel the delay timer in the CCM and turn the interior lights OFF.
That's so you will be able to see clearly outside when it's dark.
It's difficult to see out of the vehicle when it's dark with the interior lights on.
So.... there is an input on the CCM for the ignition 'ON' line that will immediately turn OFF the interior lights that are being held on by the 'Courtesy Light' buss line.
I belive that's the way it was designed to work and mine works exactly that way.
No not canadian,I don't have a helms but I have a mitchells computer program. It tells me that all instrument lighting is controled by the ccm.I'm begining to think ther is short somewhere between the ccm and ic,just have to wring it out I guess.
Thanks
Randall
Mine used to work that way ,but now when i turn on the the parking lights I get no cluster lights, only when I turn the key on do I get cluster lights.
Thanks
