I'd probably go SR on your car with your cam selection. If it was my car I would put a bigger cam in it and then do a Mini. The bigger the motor the smaller every particular sized cam acts in comparison to putting that cam in a smaller motor. EX. So a 219 in a 383 would act like a 224 or something like that in a 350. Do you follow? The bigger the motor the more cam it can handle.
I do disagree with a TPI setup worked over or not, they are not sufficient for a 350.
I've lived and learned about any long runner set up....although it depends on your individual preference; I think you will like the characteristics of the mini with a 383 motor...you automatically will have the low down torque with your cubes, especially if you have (or will) upgrade your final gear ratio in the diff....I had the Edelbrock base and runner set up originally after my engine build up....ended up going to the mini with 3.73 gears.....believe me, any loss of torque has been more than compensated for... even at 2500 RPM
