Default lil help on l98 intake install

i took my 90 l98 apart to redo the intake gaskets. but it seems like the car has ate the wire to the mat/iat sensor on the bottom of the intake plenum. i have pulled the distributor back out looking for it and i dont see where it is anywhere. so i need some help finding where it should be running from. i am positive it came from the distributor area when i took it apart but i sure dont see it anywhere in the engine compartment let alone where i thought it to be. also on the distributor install i put the red wire to battery positive and brown to tach. pretty sure that right but tach not working now
thanks
shane

Yep, the tach wire is white. The MAP is blue and black IIRC. It runs into the wiring harness behind the distrubitor into firewall. It has a connector at the harness.

I have a 90 L-98 and just finished the intake gasket job,so after checking my car,I can tell you that the map connector comes out of the harness that runs along the top of the right valve cover. It is a green three wire connector. The wire colors are white, lite green, and black with a pink stripe. Also your tach wire is correct.Hope this helps.

isn't the map sensor on the r/h side just behind the runners in front of the dist. cover?
don't have a map car, but pretty sure the connector should be on the r/h side

rrt vette is the what you are talking about? this is the only connector i see with with another connector at the harness coming thru firewall and it is what you disconnect when setting timing....est...or electric spark timing

Your pic shows what is the MAT sensor (on my 86). If I remember correctly, there is a small pigtail that plugs into MAT and then into main harness. It is at the back, but I can't remember exactly where. I'll take a peak at mine later, but my view will be somewhat small due to the Super Ram.

Your 3rd pic shows what could be your IAT connector. The EST wire/connector is a single tan near brake booster.

thanks for all the help guys but i think i figured it out. the previouse owner grinded on the clip to the iat/mat so it didn't look right. so i had it plugged into the wire in pic 3 as it was the right shape after grinding it.. putting it all back now...in the rain.....lol! gotta race...gotta rac! let you know in a few but i pretty sure i got it. so the white pig tail in pick three....does it need hooked up to anything? if so i am one short still?
