Default Heater not working

Hello,

I recently purchased a 1986 corvette, my first, and today I went to turn the heater on and the blower motor is not working and the temp control does not seem to be engaging. I have the control style that you slide horizontally from cold to hot. The rear defrosted turns on, on the control but nothing else seems to work. There are no leaks at the heater core. How do I know if the control is bad or not? Any info/suggestions/advice would be appreciated, not all that fimiliar with corvettes but am falling in love with the one I just purchased. Thanks in advance, MIKE.

I would start with the easy stuff first....
-check the main AC fuse (25A)
-check the blower resistors for continuity(I've smoked these coil resistors before)

Both of these are shown on the first page of the pdf document that Agent86 posted......
