Harmonic Balancer Leak
My front seal has a little annoying leak. How much grief is it to change out. It lookes real close to the front crossmember and steering rack. Is there a trick to replacing it?

You can fit a puller in there and get it off. It is tight, but doable. Once the balancer is off, check the snout for a groove. Over time the lip seal will wear a groove into it and the cure is a wear sleeve that slips over snout.

you have lots of room with the balancer off its easy no problem ,i can take a pic of my 91 and send it to you to see how much room you got. the balancer is not off just the pulley and theirs a lot of room .if the balancer was off you can easily get it done

How bad is the leak? in my experience, they all leak a little. My engine leaks there and it had a brand new damper, high $ cover and new seal. As did my other one and the one before that and the................
Not that bad of a job if you have the right tools, but dont expect it to be bone dry when you're done.
