I have heard the ccm is on backorder from Chevy and that there's a waiting list...... I have been told this by my local chevy dealer and a corvette specialty shop. I tried using a ccm from a 92 but the mechanic said he could not access the computer because the vin number are burned into each ccm. You can only use a rebuilt. Is this true? My vette has been sitting around for more than a year and don't know what to do! On the threads I see problems and questions about the ecm but can't find any info or problems on the ccm. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone had a suggestion. thanks
I could not get a ECM for my 93, same deal, on backorder. I found one on E-Bay(GOT LUCKY). Mid America Corvette rebuilds ECM's, give them a try on the CCM?
You can set any mileage you want, before it sees 100 miles in a car. The manual talks about a sticker being placed on the door jamb stating that a new CCM has been installed and at what mileage, then the title is marked mileage differs from actual reading.
