help with no start
drove my '93 three days ago and all was well. got in today and it would not turn over. battery is fine, headlights would not dim when trying to start so i assume no voltage getting to starter. park or neutral still no start. so I think possibly vats system. I borrow a vats tester from our GM dealer to check tonight. before any testing was done I tried it and it started just fine. this scares me because now I have lost some trust in it. will the vats system store any codes if it was the problem? any other ideas?

On my 86, VATS will cause code 46. Hopefully someone with knowledge of your year will actually help you.

I just thought of one other thing that happened. I had locked the doors with the passenger power lock and then realized the driver door had not fully locked. when I opened the drivers door the alarm went off. I turned it off by cycling the key in the drivers door lock cylinder. I dont think I tried to start it since then until today. would the alarm somehow have locked me out even if I turned it off with the key in the drivers door? it starts every time now
