I'm changing the injectors on my 89 vert. It has 115K miles and has had a few issues (egr and vacumn leaks) which I corrected but still wasn't running very well. When I did a resistance check of the injectors they were: odd bank (1 -7) 11.6, 8.6, 6.9, 17.5
even bank (2 - 8) 17.7, 17.7, 10.9, 9.3. Since the majority test out pretty bad I'm going to replace all 8. Don't want to use a reman injector or the original multec. Any recommendations on a fairly valued injector???
Everyone on here seems to reccomend the Ford SVO injectors. Also everyone on here seems to go against accell injectors. Im sure others with hands on experience with these injectors will chime in.
Thanks. Saw these on ebay for short money $30/injector. Suppose to be NOS for 85 - 89 TPI. Anyone familiar with the manufacturer???
STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS, Part #: FJ25 ]
Not familiar with those. The post I read, the guy paid $15@injector but were now selling for $18@injector. I searched his info and found it on ebay, but can't find the thread or the seller now.
Thanks everyone. I'm giving Five-O Motorsports a call tomorrow. They have a set of 8 new Ford Injectors for 85 -91 TPI for $280, which seem very reasonable (better than $800 for new OEM).
Someone posted they bought new OEM injectors on ebay for real cheap. Wish I could remember It was only a week ago

Watch out for those Ford injectors... they flow a lot more than they say. Ford rates their injectors at 39lbs. I just bought a set of 24s for my car, but the flow sheet put them all at 27lbs, which is why I've got them in the classifieds now.
I bought my new 22s from Marren Fuel Injection (www.injector.com). They were $30/each for brand new Bosch 22s.
They're doing a great job of filling the cardboard box they were shipped in.
I just got them on Wednesday and haven't had time to install them, but the general consensus was that the Bosch injectors are a good, reliable injector. Venom and Accel injectors seem to have a million horror stories, and anybody with a 91 knows better than to ever deal with the stock Multi-tech junk.
I haven't bought yet and have been mulling the 24lbs vs the 22lbs. I have heard of problems with the 24lbs needing an adjustable fuel regulator to bring them down to stock 22.5lb. When I replace mine I don't want to have to monkey with anything else if you know what I mean. I'm not looking for increased performance just driveability and durability with normal maintenance.
Well, I bit the bullet and ordered from Five-O. The injectors are supposedly new, have a 3 yr/unlimited mileage warranty. They're the Bosch/Ford yellow tops rated at 21.5 lbs/hr. $279 + $11 ship. I'll let all know how they are once I get them (hopefully in a few days).
Also, Five-O have a 99.8% satisfaction rating on Ebay. I realize this rating system doesn't tell the whole story, but I would think the rating would be a lot lower if this guy was selling a lot of junk.
