Well, I bit the bullet and ordered from Five-O. The injectors are supposedly new, have a 3 yr/unlimited mileage warranty. They're the Bosch/Ford yellow tops rated at 21.5 lbs/hr. $279 + $11 ship. I'll let all know how they are once I get them (hopefully in a few days).
Thanks everyone for your posts.
Let us know if they come in a new box with the Ford or Bosch label and the manufacturer's warranty. Most forum members have ordered new injectors and ended up with used or rebuilt injectors. I think he gets them from a salvage yard and sells them as new. If they don't work He will charge you to return them, so either way he wins. One forum member returned three sets.

I bought these same injectors from five-o a couple of months ago.
They work very well, although slightly louder than the stock ones.
Performance is strong.
I bought those exact ones and they came in a clear plastic bag, nothing on them. Turns out they were low impedance no name (???) injectors and the car would not start with them.
Just to set the story straight. Accel did have problems with their injectors awhile back. Since about 8 months ago their complete injector line has been revamped. All of their injectors are now utililizing a disc style valve mechanism. I have sold 300+ injectors in the last few months and not one problem. The new design is totally reliable. I beleive that they are made by the same company that makes the Delphi Lucas disc injectors. The bodies are identical to the Delphi units. Just like most companies, Accel doesn't actually manufacture their own injectors. Their old injectors were a bosch design with the common pintle valve, who made them I have no idea.

I read that somewhere. I guess the new Accel injectors are a major improvement. I would buy them and avoid fiveomotorsports. How much is a set TJ?

I put the Accels in my 89 several months ago, no problems.
I'll keep you guys updated. I paid via credit card and purchased via ebay. If they're not new (and packaged as such) I'll sure use my options to contest payment (full refund) with my bank and bang a nasty rating on ebay as well. As for now I'll give 5-0 the benefit of dobut. Listening to some of the other horror stories, I'm going to ohm them to ensure coils are good before I even install them.

He sends his crap through the US mail. You can simply refuse it and they will return it at no charge to you. Then call your credit card and dispute the charges. If you open the package you will be charged shipping and another 15% restocking fee. Maybe you should get the new Accels. The old ones were yellow and very unreliable. I'm hearing good things about these. Ans Summitracing will refund all your money if your not happy. They're only $269.00 http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

I bought my new 22s from Marren Fuel Injection (www.injector.com). They were $30/each for brand new Bosch 22s.
Jim85IROC: Please post a note after you install the new Marren Injectors and tell us how they perform in you car. I am often asked what to replace the Multec Injectors used in years 89 - 91. Thanks in advance
Watch out for those Ford injectors... they flow a lot more than they say. Ford rates their injectors at 39lbs. I just bought a set of 24s for my car, but the flow sheet put them all at 27lbs, which is why I've got them in the classifieds now.

Anyone ever use the ford pink tops on an L98? I saw a nice set of them on ebay and just wondering if anyone has any comments on them or if they'll work. they are rated at 22.5 i believe
Well the injectorsfrom FiveO came in today. I opened the box and the injectors were infact yellow tops, there was no Bosch wrapping or manufacturers identification. The injectors came in a presealed plastic bag, individually packaged in a pair of two. I took a couple out and notice black paint flaking from the base, and the seals/rubber grommets were scuffed as if previously used. I took my digital meter and via a pin hole through the bags tested each for impedance, they all checked out good at 16.4 -16.5 ohms. I also checked the numbers on the injectors, the yellow tops carry a 280 150 556 number and a ford number of FOTE-D5B. These are infact 19lb. injectors, not 21.5lbs as FiveO markets. All of this being the case, I do feel that these injectors were not new as adverstised but reconditioned and being that they're 19lb injectors they might not be the best under harder/performance driving. I called Bruce at FiveO discussed what I posted here and he is providing a full refund (no restocking fee).
At this point, I think I'm going to purchase a reconditioned set of injectors for $23/each. I'm leaning towards the Motorscraft blue tops rated at 22.5 lbs at 14.5 ohms.
They are listed under "Performance Fuel Injectors". Part number is 0522. I called and talked to the guy on the phone and he seemed helpful, though I pretty much already knew what I wanted.

I'll be sure to post my findings. Since I'm traveling this weekend, I'm really hoping to have the car back together this week so it doesn't sit for another week.
Those are a Bosch injector with a 14.5 impedance. Be aware they may or may not come packaged in original Bosch packing, as they may be packaged by Marren themselves (similiar to FiveO). Also Marren does not give a warranty on their injectors.
I'm going to order the reconditioned Motorcraft blue tops from MotorMan Fuel Injection Supply out of Michigan for $22.99/each and they come with a full yr warranty. I'll let you know the results.
I would not have a problem with five-o if they were honest. Don't tell people you are getting brand new Bosch injectors and sent out used ford injectors. And he can't even get the size right. This guy Bruce at fiveomotorsports is a jerk. You were very lucky to get a full refund. I don't know how he gets a good rating on Ebay. There must be a lot of dummys saying he's a reputable dealer. They probably give him a high rating because they got their injectors in the mail on time. But Later when they don't work? It's too late to change your rating.

Kool, I think you're right on. If not for the info here at the forum I would not have suspected much and would not have done the due diligence to inspect and research the numbers off the injectors when I got them. I would have been happy I got them in a couple of days and left it at that. As my schedule is now, I probably won't get to install them until next week. As an unsuspecting ebayer I would have given a + feedback upon receipt.
