Cheers

Yesterday mine was coming on about 60 seconds after startup (way below programmed turn on temp) and my battery is draining over night. me thinks the ECM is fried .. Good thing I have a few spares on the shelf.
Had to replace mine a couple of weeks ago, the relay was burned and the conector was also burned. I replaced both for under 30 dollars. When I turned it on I monitored the relay and as soon as the fan came on it started getting hot so I shut it off and pulled the fan because it didn't seem to be spinning as fast as it should. Sure enough it felt rough when I turned it by hand so I replaced it for another 25 dollars and everything has worked right ever since.
If you have to replace it, you may want to consider this kit. http://www.ecklers.com/product.asp?p...4&dept_id=1126
The relay looks different from the picture. Its actually like the one to the right. no. 25104. But anyways its the newer style relay, and it comes with the weatherpack connector to adapt to your car. I used them on my 86 that I used to have and then I used the kit for the water pump relay on my current car.
