Default engine scan analsis info?

hi there,
i have placed a thread under the c4 scan/tune also but not alot of trafic there.
i have tts data master and win aldl scan programs to check my L98 engine.
any how i was wandering how and where i can learn what all the parameters/analsis means from the pc scan you do.
such as for example oxygen sensor readings, blm counts, knock sensor counts,i.a.c position/counts,injector pulse widths and so on the list goes on and on.
i want to know also what all the settings should be and so on.
is there any websites/places/booklets that tell you all the info what it is,what it should be and how to modify/check tunes?
i think that diacom test scan program comes with a book let expalining what all the terms mean but not what all the parameters should be set at and are showing up as.
does any one please have any advcie/tips please?
thanks
Emersen

Good luck on finding a book. Some will tell you the FSM is the place to get the info. If it is, I have yet to figure it out. I can tell you that your BLM's ideally should be around 128 at cruise.

Dont i know you from somewhere?

How about reading the Datamaster help files. Its all in there.

FSM is factory service manual, BLM is block learn mode.

with Case. To add a little further on the BLM, it is the computers ability to correct the fuel tables programmed into your computer by actual sensor input data. 128 is where nothing is being corrected, and then it can correct from 108 to 160. Readings of less then 128 means the computer is taking fuel out and readings of over 128 means it is adding fuel.
So ideally you want your readings to be around 128. When you see readings of say 108 and it is not moving, it means its corrected all the computer can, and its still too rich. The actual programming needs to be changed.
Of course this is all assuming all mechanical things are correct on your car.

Edit to add: This link has a lot of info in it. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=202488
