Default optispark installation problem...

I'm installing a new optispark my fresh engine and it will not seat flush on the timing cover. I cannot find my old cam sprocket bolts, but I suspect the ones are standard SBC bolts. The bolt heads are about 0.200" but the reliefs on the opti are 0.160". Are cam sprocket bolts for the LT1 specific? I have a feeling they are since I am about 0.040" away from it mounting flush...

I'll see what Summit has to say in their catalog.

I wish- the dowel is in the right spot. I also measured the length of the dowel and the depth of the mating hole in the opti and there is plenty of clearance.

Yeah, I kinda figured you had the dowel aligned properly, as you have done some homework on the cam bolt and opti measurements..... Bummer..

Good luck....someone else should chime in here...
