FWIW, I did a .005" deck with the .039" gasket, works fine.

Your other option is to go to zero deck and buy a standard .039" gasket or .041", thisis the simple thing to do.

I've been running the Imp SS head gaskets on my Al head LT1 for 5 years without a problem.

All Imp SS's were iron heads.

It would. It works FINE with the stock .025" - .030" deck height, too.
