Carb guys.....

What intakes can you use and still keep the choke functional on a holley or edelbrock carb?

electric choke...any (need a hot wire for the choke coil)
Manual choke...any (need to run a choke cable)

Manifold does not matter

Not for the choke but rather the aircleaner, I used the Wiend Stealth and a low profile aircleaner and it just cleared on my 84

I put a scoop on my hood to accommodate my intake. I use electric choke. I think electric is the way to go, they are not expensive and they are easy to install.

That wasn't the question asked.... The choke is immaterial with regard to intake manifold design. Hood clearance is another question entirely...

I'm using a C4R scoop on my '85 carbed project ride, but I'm also adding a nitrous plate.
