do you mean this is something that will be easy no removal of the engine or anything crazy like that
Nothing on a vette is easy, but, you can do at home in a garage, up on stands, remove front ties, and go to work... only part is after install, drive to shop to have the exhaust connected and/or fabbed to fit... Just make sure you have all parts required,,, if you search, advanced, archive posts on headers, you'll find tons of info from parts to installation...
Ive been wondering how difficult installing headers would be in that tight engine compartment. I have been looking at the TPiS C4 Headers. Anybody have any opinions about these? Also do you have to remove any of the air conditioning components to do this job?
I can't remember if I actually posted this, but I did infact order everything except the headers...
I purchased Polished Camaro/LT1 Tips, Magnaflow Wide-Opens 2 1/2 IN/OUT, The magnaflow True X-Pipe, and the Magnaflow Steel Spun Converters.
I started a new thread about the Hedman Street Headers (Ceramic) v. Hedman Elite Headers (Thermal Coated?)... I'll ask again... whats the differences between the two... I originally thought ceramic coated was the same thing as thermal coated... the price is a $75 difference .
Meanwhile neither set has the previsions for the OEM Air Pump Setup... Whats going to be involved in removing that system? Are there any problems I should know about? I have no problem tuning out that stuff so long as the car will run well and pass emissions..

You think thats a tight engine compartment? Take a look under the hood of a 4th gen LT1 fbody.
