Doubles rock on any racecar, be it drag, autocross, or road racing.

Especially on a car that you also run on the street

But there's a definite learning curve to them.

Here's Koni's FAQ, easy read for beginners
http://www.tirerack.com/suspension-koni-koni-faq.shtml

Here's QA1's catalog (116 pages) with tech info
http://www.qa1.net/pdf_files/2007_catalog.pdf

And if you really want a headache, here's Penske's 31 page guide.
Take a look at page 11

Here is another vote for the Q-A1. I put these on my 89 that was used for SCCA AS AutoX, no drags. The performance was very noticable, times reflected it. If I remember I would typically run 8/5 f/r as I remember. I played with settings a bit but you really need a test-tune day on a single course to really dial in what works for you.

After events I would return them to a 3/1 setting or so for a smooth ride home.

They worked well for me for 2 seasons, now that car is just a street only car, the Z06 gets the hard work!

Of the three links, this one has the most/best tuning information by far. Read page 14; lots of very good stuff that can shorten the learning curve.
Thanks, Brian.

i was actually thinking of replacing the shocks on the back of my 95 LT1. I think they are the stockers, as my car has really low miles (40s). I want something that will stiffen up the back.

I have a 07 mini cooper s, and after that super tight sport suspension, makes me want to stiffen up the vette a bit more!!!

If you stiffen the back the w/o doing the front the car will oversteer (tail happy) like crazy and you'll never get any power down.

If your trying to get power down, off a corner on a road course, you should stiffen the front.

If your drag racing, you want to soften the front to add weight transfer.

It all about tuning the suspension.
