Turbulent Question
I don't think it really matters much I run the "old school" OEM one - I mean how much turbulence could it create?
Check the cost of each - if there close get the power coupler thingy and you can add one more item to you mods list.

I've seen some posts here about using a rubber plumbing connector for hose between the TB and MAF. If memory serves you should be able to find out the specifics on what one to buy by doing a search on "home depot" in C4 tech.

The stock coupler is of an "accordian" style so that it is more flexible.
It is connecting a rigid, stationary part (the air filter housing, which is bolted solidly to the chassis) to a moving part (the engine, which can move on its mounts).
There is a reason the flexibility is desired and, if the smooth coupler gives no benefit...and it doesn't, other than mod list addition...then why would it be a good choice?
Feel free to put the smooth coupler in the same catagory as the airfoil, the TB bypass, the throttle advancer, and the temp sender relocater.

a 4" to 3" rubber reducer from home depot's PVC pipe section fits perfectly on the early C4's
I have my TB-->rubber reducer-->MAF-->Filter stuck directly on MAF.

All I can add to this thread is that's it's easier'n shet to cut your fingers while installing/removing those darned things. Those screw clamps that hold the coupler in place have some seriously sharp edges to 'em!

i think on the lt1 you can get the tb to the maf, but not the maf to the air filter. i looked at them at home depot.
