Explain freshed up the bottom end...what did you do to it exactly?

I've did a filter relocation kit on a S10 TPI V8 conversion a few years back. There was a clearance between the headers and filter...it was near zero so I had to do it. The kit sucked I always had oil leaks from the hoses and the bracket no matter how much thread sealant, compound or tape was used. I would never install one of these kits again because of my experience.

It always helps to include the year and engine you are referring to.

Secondly, actual temps in F are more helpful than 3/4 mark especially since we can't see that gauge.

Thirdly, the bottom end to most folks is the crank and associated bits.

That is why someone asked you what you meant by bottom end.

Conventional wisdom says to seat new rings with conventional oil. Elevated oil temps are not unusual in a re-ringed engine.

Try giving us actual temps and we will try to help.

its amazing that you haven't given us the before and after temps.?!?! i mean really WTF?

its amazing that you don't know that new rings and bearings can cause the engine to run hotter during break in.?!?! i mean really WTF?

secondly if you read the post it says that the digital readout reads LOW so i don't know exact temps.

third i said i freshened up the bottom end which to most folks including myself means the mains, rods and rings, but hey i am the idiot right.

and fourth i did use conventional oil to break in and if you weren't in such a rush to bust my ***** then you would have noticed a majority of the need info in the original post.
If you make people read the profile to find out what engine we are talking about, you reduce the pool who will respond.

How are we to know if you mean a low temp or the word low?

What you did, to me and apparently a few others, is an overhaul. That's why somebody asked.

You said you put in conventional oil but neglected to say how long you left it in.

I apologize for missing all of that needed info!!

I wasn't the one with the openly sarcastic reply.. I don't think you will get a lot of help.
