I have an egr block off plate on the shelf I am looking to put on. Its too big for the location I thought it would be located so I must be looking at the wrong location. The spot I was looking at is on the pass. side to the rear of the motor. Where does this plate go? I plan to order the smog pump removal pulley so I can go ahead and get that larger piece of out my way, the ac has already been removed.

I am also looking to identify two tubes that run down both sides of the motor, they have larger rubber tubes that hook up to them but they themselves are metal. The run adjacent the valve covers, can those be removed and what is their purpose.

Right now i have a large amount of rubber tubing that I took out from when I removed the ac. Is all this tubing needed, it seemed to twise and turn and sit on the pass side rear near where the ac and blower was.

The large block off plate is for the EGR diaphragm under plenum. The tubes running beside valve covers are PCV fresh air on pass side and PCV vacuum on the drivers side. You need both.

Thanks, any idea on all those rubber tubes on the pass side?

The spot that looks like the egr but smaller on the back side of the lower intake, anything go there? I imagine it can't be left open so maybe I will have to locate a used part to mount up there.

The block off kits come with a plate for that also. That is where the gases enter the intake base from the exh manifold.
If the EGR valve is blocked ,in theory you should have no vac leak from there if left uncovered as the gas path is from the intake , through the EGR valve and back to the intake.

why are you taking off all the smog equip. when you are going to have to put it all back on to pass smog inspections, or sell it?

I bought this plate off ebay and looks like they sent me on the one. So my upper needs to come off to get this put on and then I need to get another made for the smaller one on the back side it sounds like.
