While replacing my fuel pump on my '85 I noticed that I had a small hole in my rubber feed line. I've tried to find information in the archives but couldn't find what I was looking for. What do I need to replace this line? I know the connection on the end is crimped and I'd rather replace it with ss braided line if at all possible because I don't really trust rubber to much. What type of connection is the metal hard line, and does anyone know what fittings I need to make this work? Also does anyone know the same information on the return line? I figure I might as well do both while I'm there.
Even if I did track down a year matched set of replacement hoses, I'd still be relying on 22 year old rubber. Surely someone has replaced the feed and return lines from their tank to the hardlines.

Remove the lines from the car and take them to a "custom hose shop" to have new hoses and ends crimped on.
Or:
Buy some hose clamps, braided fuel injection hose and a tube double flaring kit....cut off the "old" crimped ends of the lines and use the flaring tool on each tube.....slip the "new" fuel injection hose over the flared tubes and apply a clamp on each end of the hose(2 clamps on the feed tube).
