Custom Chip smog test
I have a 1988 L98 with ported plenum 52mm TB SLP high flow runners and 1.6 rockers with a PCMforless chip. All the emissions equipment is still on the car. My question is, if I leave the chip in for my CA smog test, will it be detectable by the smog test equipment and will it pass the emissions test since the chip is for performance and not neccisarily for the emssions. It has passed the test in the past. Since then I added the roller 1.6 roller rockers and the custom chip. Please let me know if you have any experiences bad or good Especially if you're from the granola state. Thanks...

I would run it through. If it failed I would try the stock chip. After dropping the computer down a few times it only takes 10 mins to change it. You could even change it in their parking lot and retry right away.
