Default 383 build

I just purchase a new 350 block and im planning on building a 383 stroker for my 1990 corvette, but Im not exactly sure what cam to install. Currently this is what I have -PBM 43/40 fordged steel stroker crank -silv-o-lite hypereutectic pistons (.030 over) -Melling high volume oil pump -complete gasket set, including Felpro head gasket set, with frost plugs. -Hastings ring set -rod, main and cam bearings -PBM fordged steel rods, with high strength rod bolts, pressed fit. I know Im going to have to also look into a better intake as well but any other suggestion would be greatly appreciated. also does what I have so far sound like a good setup?

Cam choice will depend on how you want to drive it. It also depends on your RPM range and which intake you may choose.

What are you thinking as far as intake?

I myself would say SuperRam, but others may disagree and say go MiniRam.

I agree your cam choice and intake choice will depend on what you expect performance wise out of the car.

That said you can't go wrong with a Super Ram and the LPE 219. You can do a little better for a 383 inch motor but not with those hyper pistons you have IMO. The Super Ram and 219 is a proven combination all the way.

Go with a Miniram. You will have plenty of low end, and tons of high end. Best of both worlds.

For what you want, Superram will probably be best. TPiS or Hooker 2149 headers are what you need.
