Looking for engine control specifics
I have a stock '90 ZF6. Somewhere, a while ago I found a good read on how the ECM controls the engine. It stated things like how the rpm's did not return to idle until mph when below 7mph (or something close), it included a lot of "if" and "whens". I've been searching all over and cannot find this info again. I want to learn as much about the control logic as I can so I know what little things to ask a tuner to do. Any suggestion on where/ what to read to get this understanding?
