Make sure you order the set of $16 for $35;
much cheaper than 16 individual springs.

Listed as LT4 /ZZ4 springs

How many miles are on the existing springs? If they don't have many miles on them they may not need to be replaced.

If you're on strict budget and you have to replace them I'd suggest sticking with stock springs. That's what I have on my '89 L98 when I installed 1.6:1 roller rockers. I spoke to my engine shop about going with stiffer springs and they said there's no need to unless I was planning to rev the engine higher then stock. And that won't happen with the stock cam and stock TPI setup, so anything beyond the stock springs was overkill.

Now, if you're planning on additional mods in the future, then the GMPP LT4 springs already suggested are the best way to go. Especially if the price difference between stock and the LT4 springs is marginal and your budget can handle it.

pushrods should be replaced if any more than ''minimal'' mileage on 'em...the end that rides in the rocker wears and will become agressive to the new rocker... feelin' lucky ???

if there is an alignment prob with the new rockers, new pushrods will be reqd, of course.

you need the gmpp lt4 hot cam light weight retainers 1.32diam and keepers and the shims that fit under the springs so they dont dig into the aluminum head all parts are from g.m. hot cam spring part #10212808 set of 16 ,light weight retainer kit (16)comes with keepers 12495492 this is the whole kit .i forgot the shims 10212809

At a minimum you will need the shims as stock L98 has thicker spring seats giving different spring installed height.

The other LT4 pieces are desirable but not absolute.
ZZ4 uses same springs without exotic LT4 hardware

I wouldn't call them exotic when springs, caps and shims are only around $50 total.
The retainer's from my 128 heads, would not work with my LT4 springs. Not sure about the D port heads, but there is a good chance they may not work either.
