Nice project. What are you using for the basic structure? High beam/Low beam? Covers?

i bought some thin gage metal at the hardware store, made a 90 degree bend, (that made the bottom and back) then cut out the sides and used a walmart wire feed welder to put on the sides, but fiberglass would have worked ok. both light kits i got at walmart, the bigger low beams were origionally fog lights, i had to cut out the metal in the middle so i could fit regular low beam bulbs and used high temp silicone to hold em in, the blue lights are the day driver lights so i didnt mess with those, the lenses were glass so they wont melt, $14.99 for each light kit, not bad with glass lenses. drilled two holes and the lights bolt right in, i got 2 pieces of plexiglass at the hardware store too. 12x14" i am cutting those now.

I have been considering putting two driving lights in the center tag area. Since we don't have front tags, this would work fine. Will keep in touch. Some one out there want a "grand" for this kit. I think I can put one together on the cheap.

How did you attach them to the back of the hood?

This would be a good idea if your car has the "clunking headlight motor syndrome" which my 88 does. I just wish I had as much time on my hands as you...

What are you gonna do for:
1. Covering
2. Light adjustments
3. Mounting
4. Sealing..
Just some additional points to consider in your venture, good luck

WOW that breathless kit is NICE. if i had the money it would be a no brainer.......but then again if i had the money i might could get the origionals to work! LOL na. i do like the look better than origional. i basically have run outta money for this vette project for the moment but i am in a bind to get it running in a hurry just for transportation, i may go to the breathless sys later as money dictates, but for now i just need to see in the dark. and here in no mans land, it is DARK! i live where all the telescopes set up to check out the stars because of no light!!!

Thanks for posting up those pics and the write up so far... ive been wanting to do this for years but just never got around to it.

I have a tip on how to get your plexi lenses curved correctly.. PM me later and I will explain it the best I can...

I see this car at local shows all the time.. he made his own lights and has gone through several versions over the years, they look better and better every time I see the car:

I do like the lights on it but that is it!

That car and its owner are very confused It is a GS,LT-5, ZR1,with a 4speed auto? What year a 1952 or a 1983? The poor guy has a ton of work in the car! Pimp my ride, huh!? Looks like a regular early L98 car with that has "emblem -itis" aka "poser-itis"
