My AIR mounting bracket broke during removal (POS) . With the prospect of getting a new pump AND a bracket, I'm more inclined to modification/removal now.
i understand your problem, i removed he entire egr,smog air, welde/ported the headers, installed egr plate, egr sensoe plate and installed an air pump elimninator, with the install a code 32 usually shows up, but is easily fixed, bypassing the grey sensor to ground with a diode,
now everthing runs smooth and no codes...this mod was done on my 87 vette rag, and 89 vette rag. my new C6 is not in need of this stuff.

yes a person spends a lot on these old vettes , but don't you just love it.. thiers antiques and some day, some day.. you'll get your money back!
