Hello, Just purchased a Lt-1 1994 6 speed.
Im in Las vegas I noticed the temp gets up there real quick, as this sounds normal. Want to reprogram so the fan comes on sooner like 200 ect
Which unit do i need. Thanks

Congrats on the new ride- I got my 95 6spd back in July. I believe you'll have to do a little research first before you receive replies- something like
I'm ready to reset the fan temps with a hypertech (garbage IMO) tool what temps would you recommend in LV?

TunerCat tuning software and an AKM cable will allow you to change your fans on/off settings, and anything thing else you want to change in your tune.

The Vette is worth every Penny spent. Guy never even popped off the top, Its off now. I test drove a LT-4 auto, ( modded to be auto) and this 6 speed Is MUCH more fun. Im surprised i dont see more on the road.

FYI – Vegas, Orlando both hot areas most of the year round, My A/C is on almost all the time for cooling and to remove moisture in our short winter. The primary fan comes on with the A/C (drivers side) and always runs as long as the A/C is on. Re-programming this fan will not buy you anything if you run the A/C all the time.

The secondary fan is programmed to come on at 239*. You can change this one and it might help depending what temp you pick. But what most do including myself is to install a manual switch to turn on the secondary fan when you wish. It is a judgment call, I usually turn my on at about 210 or so. Then let it come down and switch it off.

You don’t need a fancy kit, a basic switch and 10 feet wire will do it. If this interests you, I can give you the details on the connections and what will exactly will be activating.
