Before I go out and spend money on differant parts, I wanted to ask. My car started to through a code 41, at the same time I noticed that the volts started reading low. Normal before this 14.6 and now reading 14.1, could this be part of the problem?

before you start doing anything, get a meter and measure the voltage at the back of the alternator (hot wire). then, start car and re-measure the voltage. 14vdc seems like plenty unless yourt regulator is on it's way out (or left) and youhave an over-voltage" problem. i don't have a fsm in front of me at this time.
Here is what is normal for C4's. Engine cold, the alternator puts out 14.7 volts and your dash meter will read 14.3 volts due to the voltage drop in the ignition switch and the dash voltmeter reading the voltage AFTER the ignition switch contacts. The alternator output voltage decreases with increasing temperature and it puts out 13.7 volts engine up to temperature (and the alternator too). Your 14.1 volt reading is within normal range even though you have read 14.6 volts before.
Code 41 if it was in the CCM module 1, that would be data communications lost. But probably not.
If it was the ECM module 4, than it could be EST (knock sensor) error, according to the info I have at this time which is not out of the FSM. Best I have for now.
