Go to the on board diagnostics by shorting pins 4 and 12. Get to the manual mode and go to module 9. Then you go the 9.7 module and delete the codes. If you need additional details, let me know.
As you have found out you can not delete the brake codes by disconnecting the battery. You have to do it with a tech 1 or via the dash board controls.
I have tried to delete H57 code in module 9 but it will not take it out. What is H57 anyone know? This is on my 94.
Thanks
Module 9 DTC 57 says; "Cruise control output monitoring malfunction"
In short the FSM says the cruise control cutoff relay was activated (turned off) by a EBTCM (brake computer) event. Rather than the normal relay shut off by the brake pedal or cruise power switch.
I'm thinking it might be a glitch and just remove it and then see if it returns before I go off the deep end.

Mine was an open circuit on the cruise control cutoff relay. Got mine taken care of with new relay. I was able to remove the codes. Everything now working. thanks
