Auto Shift Control
I have an '86 Automatic, around town I usually keep it in D not OD, this is due to the slow speeds and hunting between gears the tranny will do at the low RPMs and speeds ( under 40). I see a product from Corvette Central and I'm sure other venders, called a "Shift Control Harness", 2 different models one under car, one under dash. Both described as "switchable". This is supposed to cure the problem, I suppose it changes shift points. $35-$30. Does anybody have any experience with these?
thanks

Re: Auto Shift Control (Barrier)
On a 700R/4 the TC lockup can be controlled electrically but not the shift points.
At part throttle the shift points and feel is controlled with the TV cable by setting line pressure; at WOT shift points are controlled internally to the tranny.
