It realy depends on the rest of the buildup. If cam and intake will support >190cfm, the AFR 190 sound like a good choice.

The AFR 190 heads are a proven choice, until cubes or a very radical cam require alot more flow. For L98 that's what I voted for.

I just got the 190 AFR's. I got the 74cc and had them milled to the stock 58 cc. This was AFR's suggestion, it helps unshroud the valves = more air flow. The total setup with upgraded springs and valves was around 1800. Be sure to check cam lift to afr specs. The stock 190's are only good till .550. Anything larger requires the before mentioned upgrade. And don't forget about all the sensor holes, its only another 25 or so bucks. It will save many headaches down the road. You can follow my progress of my project on the post: The Project.... Good luck and if I can help in any way get in touch.

I just purchased Edelbrock heads for my 86 and the quality is excellent, I haven't run it yet but expect good things. :chevy
