The setup looks very good.

Let me just tell you there is a butt-load of work in that car!!! I know how time consuming this stuff is and there are some serious hours in that puppy.

You will be happy with the setup and good choice with the wishbone locator...at first I thought they just had it tied off to the side in the one video.

good luck!

Looks Great

Are you planning on wrapping everything in dynomate befor putting carpet back in? Just curious.

Also are you planning on running a spool?

Best

I'll definitely put down dynomat in the front area of the car, you can see the driver's side already has some that a prior owner put in it.

Right now the plan is to just powdercoat all the aluminum panels and leave it like that, I'm going to see how loud it is and see if I can live with it on the street. If I can't then I'll dynamat everything else and put down carpet in the rear as well. We will see . . . . .

I'm not planning on running a spool, my car will drive on the street 90% of the time so it has to stay very streetable. A spool is overkill for me, at least right now. But who knows what the future holds?

LOL, only bad thing is nothing much has happened in a good while, my guy is just really busy right now.

Hopefully soon I'll have some more pics, though he DOES have the tranny crossmember made as some have asked about. I'll have some pics of that later as well. I think it should be pretty slick!!!!!

LOL, just talked to my builder today actually.

Not a lot more to post just yet, though I am going by on Monday and will have a few things to post. I think by end of next week a lot more will be done.

cross member pics are cool.
Never thought of that technique

BTW make sure he's putting a driveshaft hoop in the tunnel for you

Any ETA from your fabricator?

John

Yeah I think the way they are doing it, the car will be crazy stiff.

With the C-beam OEM setup in my car I was never able to get rid of the slight shifter rise, even with ZFDoc beam plates, etc. Pretty sure that problem is gonna go away now.

We haven't talked about the driveshaft hoop but pretty sure that's almost an automatic thing for them since that's all they do is drag cars - nonetheless thanks for the reminder because it IS something I been meaning to ask about.

No firm ETA, but it's looking like the end of this month I "hope". I wanted to have it ready for the Forum cruise-in here in BG but that might be a stretch since we still have lots to do.

Once the roll cage is done he still needs to fit my seats (Cobra Misano's ), finish the door bars, finish my brakes (new non power master, all new lines, etc), fuel system (gonna run a parallel setup w/ my LT1 fuel rails), and a few other things here and there and then a buddy is gonna help me do the wiring. So lots to do to make the cruise-in!!!!!!!!
