Start engine with no tranny attached?
Bent valve must be the vibration! Kudos to ol'RJ !
It makes sense being that the timing chain was soooo stretched!
Thanks Brian!
Stripped it down to the block today, I'll send the heads out this week and have them looked over, www.cfmperformance.com
The valve did not ding the piston or if it did, it was so slight that I can not see the spot.
The valve seal on the bent valve is up around the top of the stem so something is whacked out, plus that stem is @ .150 shorter than the rest of the valves.
Just debating with my self about going with a solid roller TPIS 701, or leave it Hyd-Roller
I thought it was the clutch disc so I pulled it out and put a new one in,,,, vibe still there, then replaced my timing chain because it was loose, needed it anyway,,,,, vibe still there, then had my injectors tested by Rich at Cruzin Performance, ,,,, vibe still there, then pulled my valve covers and checked the lifters and rockers and rset my valve lash, ,,,, vibe still there, checked the ESC and knock sensor, then pulled the distributor and found the gear and HEI to test OK,,,, vibe still there, ,,,, then unhooked the MSD 6AL and the vibration was still there .
Turned out to be an intermittent problem with a faulty TPS sensor, the TPS sensor would never go above 1.0 volts during accelertion, but never through a code,, and that messed up the info feed to the ECM, so when I reved the car, the ECM tried to adjust fuel and spark only as much as the idle air block info would allow.
