I have a 1992 corvette and was experiencing problems. As I was driving my Security and ASR light would flash and cause my car not to start once it was turned off. I posted my problems on this website and recieved numerous responses suggesting to replace my ECM, but I also recieved one response suggesting me to top off my brake fluid. To replace the ECM would cost about $500, so I tried topping off my brake fluid. It worked!!! I have not had a problem with my car in months just because of this simple solution and I saved myself alot of money.

I'm certainly glad you solved your problem.
But, topping off the brake fluid would not have anything to do with the Security light -- that you can bet on.
My guess is, since the ECM is under the hood, cooler weather is what has given you a temporary solution.
When warm weather returns and the under-hood temperatures rise, I would not be surprised to hear your problem is back.
