Default vacuum lines.

On my '87 there's a line I can't figure out. The purge line from the fuel pressure regulator goes into a small plastic fitting which is essentially a tee.One comes out and tee's into another line by the alternator. The other, very thin, disappears into the loom behind the distributor.Where does it go and whats the function? Anyone know?

is it the one that operates the hvac vent door? you could find out by unplugging it and see if you can switch the vents from defog/up/down.

Thats a possibility.I tried the A/C and heater and they both work fine but will check that.Didn't think to try the demister, not that I've ever used it.It(the plastic line) broke again after my poor attempt at fixing it and I'm not about to pull the superam and distributor to get at it again.

A little confusing when you use the word "purge"
Vacuum goes from plenum to fuel reg/air switches and plenum to check valve, which tees and feeds HVAC, cruise and vacuum storage tank.
