Default Brake Rebuild Kit

It's just about time for new pads and rotors on my 91. Is there any sense in rebuilding the calipers if, at this point, there isn't anything wrong with them? Also, I've never done this before, but is there anything in particular I should know about rebuilding them?

IMO if they are not leaking just check the dust boots for cracking, etc.. If they're bad replace them

Check out Rockauto.com for new brake pads and rotors.

I use my 95 as a daily driver and I use ceramic pads (less dusting on rims) with raybestos professional grade rotors

It wouldn't hurt to rebuild the calipers. It gives you a chance to ensure that all the old nasty fluid and debris that collect at the bottom of the piston bores gets cleaned out. Also if you just push the pistons back in, any corrosion on the exposed part of the pistons will be forced over the seal. This could cut the seal and/or cause it to not seal. A full brake job includes rebuilding/replacing the calipers. Also check pads for abnormal wear which could indicate sticking/worn guide pins or pistons. Caliper rebuild kits are usually cheap too and so really only cost time.
