85 with red broken wire at firewall
does anyone know what this wire is for its red and at the very top of the plug that goes through the firewall just to the side of the battery.
i found this wire while trying to troubleshoot a headlight door motor not working.. its the right side motor that is supposed to have a red wire going to the relay and hot all times... the other relays for the headlights also have red wires going to them and are hot at all times.
im not sure if this corroded wire at the firewall is suppose to supply the
R side relay or not, either way it will need to be fixed.

If it goes through the firewall without a connector, I would say someone added it.

this is a stock wire, it its apart of the loom and goes into a plastic box that directs it through the fire wall with the rest of the loom. the wire is really corroded and the crumbled.
