hello, just got 94 back from chevy dealer had rear main seal leak fixed..bummer..515 $...car oil temp always ran 160-180 except in stop and go traffic,it would reach 200-205 then.On the way home oil temp.rose quick to 200 then 204 stayed there all the way home 30 miles, non stop ride ,1 degree out side and no heat...see my other post with this problem...anyways what could cause this? did they forget to hook up a oil cooler or something any help would be much appreciate, DAN

No heat-you mean you didn't have the heater on? Having the heater on will often lower the coolant temperature and in turn, lower the block temperature. Lower oil temperatures will result...-Matt-
Nothing wrong with a 205 degree oil temp... synthetic oil is good up to 300 something. i wouldn't worry about it too much. If you start seeing 250 or so, be cautious and start to look for problems.
The dealer should definitely be putting synthetic in there.. if they did not.. wow.. NEVER go back there...
If you're talking about the little radiator underneath.. that's like 8" x 14" or something.. that is the power steering cooler. I believe 94-96 have it.
