if the 86 has cast iron heads, my first guess would be yes. If aluminum, then no. The Z28 had an L98 with iron heads, same as the early 86's.

The factory exhaust pipes on the Corvette bolt to the factory manifold dead center of the engine (front to back) or under the #3 and #5 (driver side) and under the #4 and #6 (pass side) exhaust ports.
I you attempted to do this on the F-body (camaro/firebird), you would hit the front crossmember that goes under the motor. Therefore, the F-body manifolds exit toward the back of the engine where it bolts to the transmission.
