MAF sensor

I have a high Flow MAF on my vette. Does it really improve performance compared to the stock one? How much do you think? Any opinions :chevy

Hmm.. high flow huh? I'm guessing that it does nothing since you probably didn't open up other constricting areas of the intake system.

it helps if youre gonna open up the intake system but without that you still MIGHT get some very small improvements in 1/4 mi times.

UMMM YEAH!!! i have the entire air intake done up. I have an open air box lid with K&N filter, HIGH FLOW MAF!!! coolant bypass, 160 t stat, air foil, and my car is dropped 1.5 inches in the rear and and 1 inch in the front, and i am waiting for my side effects exhaust system in the mail!!!! Hopefully in about a week ill have my 373's :cheers: :cheers: :D :D :hat :lol:

yeah, to see the effects you need to have your intake and heads ported and polished. The air flow will only be as fast as the slowest part of the intake system.. your MAF, airfilter, TB, etc.. .aren't the most restricting.

If it is an LT1/LT4 engine you will see NO long term gain unless you are maxing out the MAF (only blown cars with high boost will do this). I say long term since the PCM will correct for the lean condition (which is what gives you the extra HP) created by the high flow MAF.
