Default Re: trick flow 23 degree heads (jparr)

my neighbors son has the 23 deg heads on his car I have the TRICKFLOW G-2 TWISTED WEDGE heads on my 1985 vette , the heads on both cars work fine, but my g-2 heads required .100 thousands longer push rods to get the angle correct on the rocker arms , his were a dirrect bolt on , my T-W g-2 heads produce more hp,(about 58 rear wheel more than stock) his were an easier swap! but increased his hp about 45hp according to a before/after dyno run at the rear wheels.but both of us have non-stock cams(that were the same before and after the swap) so you may or may not get the same gain he runs a crane 114142 hydrolic and it halls butt$ ,I ran an ERSON roller cam #E119816 untill just recently and could easily beat him.BTW I just changed to a crane cam #119661 and have only run it a few times but it seems better on the high rpm and lost a little down low in the rpm range
hope that helps
