No. The shop gave me BS horror stories about having to raise my motor etc. The only "mod" I really had to do was notch the raised corner of this cross brace. It was hitting the header and not letting me align the bolt holes. Plus $500 was almost what I paid for the headers new to begin with.

That's very true 'tho I have pulled the motor and rebuilt it along with the tranny.C5 brakes, new rear end, suspension, fabricated my own exhaust.Complete new interior and even painted it myself in my garage. All on my lonesome and at my age. There's not much of it that I've not either worked on or replaced. As for "always bragging" I'm too old to brag about anything.I own an '87 Lingenfelter, period.

All the years I've been here and I still don't understand why people open topics they have no interest in making a contribution to.

There are many threads on headers. I researched them and came to the decision on which one I wanted to buy. I also did a search on "header installation cost" and came up with nothing. Considering the fact that I don't have the time to turn wrenches and would prefer not to get screwed, I thought it wise to inquire what others had paid to have the job done. Regardless, I shouldn't have to justify any post to anyone.

For the rest of you, thanks for the numbers.

my point here is i would like to see more people doin there own work on there cars. it is very enjoyable and gratifying to pick a project and set a goal and complete it all on your own.if you dont have the time fine but dont beat my a** for saying it should cost you nothing to install headers on your car but time. you ask and i told you what i thought. and for that i have been called a noob and douche bag.. you need not justify anything to me. its your money

I'm just about to do that if y'all can't figure out how to stay on topic without the creative commentary. If you don't have something constructive to add, move along.

I see by the other thread you had them installed, so what did it end up costing?
