On a 95 how do you determine if the compressor is bad? It does not click on and the system shows pressure.

I don't have a 95 manual, but on the 91s, the system needs sufficient freon pressure and some other magical parameters satisfied for the ECM to pull the clutch in. Get a manual and study the troubleshooting tree,
it might be something other than the compressor.

If you can turn the outer hub by hand - belt removed - with minimal resistance, the compressor is usually ok. I'd start by disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. That should clear any stumbling blocks from the Processor and then assuming you have sufficient pressure to close the low pressure contacts - (50 psi and even a half pound of gas will give you that), the compressor should engage. If not, I'd suspect an intermittent at this switch. It's mounted on the Evaporator Outlet or the big line on top. Remove the harness and see if the switch contacts are closed. If so, reconnect the harness and with system on high, wriggle around the connector. If that gets it going, you'll need to splice in a new connector, though sometimes, you can just replace the switch and that will make it tight again.
