Hey, that looks just like my car!

Okay, if you go to that e-place and look up HID dual conversions in the lighting section, you will see all kinds of lights. As everybody around the world is selling the things, be careful because termanology is inconsistantly used by many of them (Xenon does not mean HID). I've been watching these things for about 2 years and they are getting better all the time. I was impressed by the slim ballast. I'm sure if you wait another month or two they will have the slim ballast with low and high beam systems available.

I see a lot of them are straight from China now so buyer beware.

As mentioned above, you may never even need or want high beams so the kits with the HID low and filament high may be the best route. It would be nice to have high beams that didn't vaporize on-coming cars though. I have to say the superbright headlights are starting to get some bad press which may spur lawmakers to do something us responsible users don't want to happen. LED taillights are in that group too.

It would be nice to have a headlight/fog kit all in one.

i ask this, because, the fog lamp relay uses the high beam filament of the conventional H4 bulb for getting grounded..a have the schematic im my shop manual..(ok, this is a 90, but i don´t think, the schematic is that different from your 94)

so, when the ballast is wired in, is this still functional?

thank you
I have the same issue after upgrading to the H4 euro lamps/bulbs.
No fog lamps now, and when I turn on the fog lamp switch it turns on my high beams!!! I have all new wiring for the headlights so I don't see how the foglight switch is affecting the main lights, is it still the ground on the fogs?

I bought a HID kit with slim ballast for the fogs. It should be here today or Monday.

Waiting with baited breath! Do you already have HID headlights? I ask just because of the fog-light grounding issue, and whether or not you'll have to deal with that.

I have HID headlights and my fog lights work with no modification. My hi beam light stays on all the time but thats the only problem I have encountered.

If your high beam indicator is on, that must mean that you wired the HID to the green wire? don't make no sense.............

Green wire? My HID kit is plug and play. Both low and hi beams work, fogs work too.

Ahh...so apparently the bi-xenon kits retain the fog-light grounding circuit, while the low-beam only ones eliminate it...interesting...

the low beam only HID does not have a filament so the fog lamp relay does not have a complete circuit. the low beam HID w/ regular high beam has a bulb with a filament next to the hid lamp so the fog lamp relay can complete it's circuit. is that right... I think .
I looked into the fog lamp circuit in my FSM, and when I get some time to tear into the pass kick panel (where the relay is), I will get the bugger working.

I forgot to add that my HID kit did come with a harness that needed to be wired to the battery and ground so its not 100% plug and play. It uses the HID bulb for high and low and uses a solenoid to move the bulb.

that's why... I was actually thinking outside the box. instead of rewiring the circuit for the fogs, why not wire the headlamps differently??
I was going to connect the HIDs to the battery with a relay, and have the headlamp power wire trigger the relay instead of powering the lights directly. this will in take out the worry of the factory harness getting hot or melting for you guys that have that worry. I'm sure it won't though. It still leaves me to "how do I complete the circuit for the fogs?"... I know they sell this harness you speak of on the auction site. just checked it out the other day. Just this time I'm going to put a link here so you guys know what I'm talking about. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HID-f...em120236928940
can you take a close up pic of the wiring of the bulb area?. I'd like to see how it is wired at the OEM plug. -Harry

I'm trying to get together a Group Buy for headlight and foglight kits.
I need to get an idea of how many are interested. they contacted me back and want to know how many we're talking. they carry a 1 year warranty and are the bi-xenon kits (high and low beam) AND the fog lamps. any interest? I'm going to post in the fog lamp thread in General too. PM me and post in this thread that you PMd me. thanks.
these are kits.

I have emailed approx. 7-8 sellers and asked them all this same question
I belong to a Corvette club (1984-1996) and was wondering how much cheaper we could get the H4 slim (if you have slim) AND foglamp (880 bulb)slim setup if we set up a Group Buy ?
thanks, Harry

so... right now I'm just asking for interest so I have an idea how many kits, not asking for how many want to buy right now. The first thing they ask me is how many kits.
