Default Spark plug wires. Which is which?

I recently purchased a 91 coupe, L98. The previous owner was NOT an enthusiest, judging from the condition and cleanliness (or lack of it). I'm cleaning and frshening up the engine compartment. The spark plug wires looked like a universal kit that were poorly fit and installed. I have purchased a nice set of Moroso custom fit set made just for the L98. Trouble is, there were no instructions or information provided, and lord knows, there is no example in the existing wires.

My question is this. Three of the wires have straight spark plug boots and the rest are 90 deg boots. Two of the straight boot wires are longer and about 1 inch difference between them. The third straight boot wire is about 6 inches shorter. Where are these intended for, as some of the 90 degree boot wires are about the same ligenth. If I knew where the straight boots go I could figure out the 90 degree wires simply by where they reach the best. Right?

L98s normally have a straight boot on #6 only. Just do them all by length. Put some dilectric grease on them and they will slip on the plugs easier.

Check first that #1 on the cap is at the front .If the cap is out it throws all the wire lengths out making it impossible to get right, end up with too much slack on some wires.
Be aware that in the stock form some wires run behind the cap (#2 /3) not direct to the terminal which accounts for the length.
#3 faces the pass side then runs behind the cap to drv side

Thanks for your response guys! The point is, the straight boot wires match the length of some of the 90 degree wires very closely, so I don't think "just doing them by length" will tell me much. It's nice to know that #6 should be a straight one. But WHY? Maybe I could apply the reasoning to find the other 2 locations, or at least the most likely locations. To clear exhaust manifolds? To get around accessories?

Just use some common sense here
If you look at the engine you will see which plugs will have clearance issues with the angle boots and go from there.
Don't try to over-think it.....This aint rocket science.
