If you want to do it once and have no resonance, buy the Corsa's.

Corsa here; I'd recommend it to everyone! Combines with LT's and RT cats, absolutely nasty sound at WOT. But no resonance cruising. It's great.

Corsa of your choices and if you want to spend the $$$.

Have you considered B&B exhaust though? It is also a very nice sounding/performing exhaust but its LOUD!

Default Between the two....

I would hands down say Borla....very clean and mean sounding. My favorite is the B&B, but in reference to your question, Borla for sure.

I had borlas on my 85 with no cats.....they absolutely ruined the car. Get Corsas.

How much extra power does a new exhaust produce. Can you feel a massive difference or not? I`m looking at it and have been quoted £500 ($1000) all in for a steal exhaust or £700 ($1400) for stainless.

I refuse to vote yes on something as overpriced as corsa, no matter what it sounds like.

I will however vote NO on the borla. I had them on my 90. Ok sound, but far too quiet.

You might feel a slight difference with a 2.5" catback but huge difference, no. Do it for sound if anything otherwise youll be disappointed.

I personally like being a little loud while cruising. I notice people in vehicles looking over. I even had some goof-ball lady at a light ask me what year my viper was (my 95 vette). wow.

You should take a look at the TPiS catback on their website. It's reasonably priced, and sounds good AND is also pretty tough looking (it's actually unique in this regard--all blacked-out business and no shiny bling). I just installed one in my '89. Is it great? No, but it's a nice blend of qualities at a reasonable price.

I will say, if your a music buff a loud system is probably not for you. But if your into a muscle car-kinda sound, then borla or b&b would work!

I recommend attending one of the many Corvette shows coming up in the next few months and hearing them for yourself. There's just no substitute because sound is so subjective. What one person thinks is too loud, the next thinks is too quiet. What one hears as "drone" the other hears as "sound" etc....

I have Borlas on my 85 and they sound great. They were on the car when I bought it. They give a real muscle car sound. No resonance on mine. I have had B&B's on a C5 and a C6 and loved them. To me the Corsa exhaust sounds too European. I like American MUSCLE

Maybe it was b/c I had the 2.75" mufflers on mine car with no cats but the booming resonance was absolutely unbearable. Longer than a 20minute drive and I was putting earplugs in.
