I'm Thinking Of Getting New Cat Backs On My 84. Probably Corsa, Any Opinions Or Ideas

I've gotta agree with these replies. I have a 91 L98 vert and have to say that the quality, sound, and lack of resonance made the Corsa my number 1 choice. The fit was perfect the first time and installation was a breeze with their easy instructions. Check out my youtube video of my first start-up at http://youtube.com/watch?v=x9XM1mpY_9o. The camera does not capture all of the deep notes, but they are there - especially at idle. Best of all, they come with a LIFETIME WARRANTY and are aircraft grade Stainless Steel. If you want a cabin, take-off, or more representative video, I can manage that this weekend. Or, I'm in Tampa during the week and you could hear it in person if you wanted sometime.
Oh and for those worried about loudness, I can set off car alarms (in a parking garage).
If you have the money and like the Corsa sound - go for 'em and you won't regret it!
Save the wave,
Jonathan

How much extra power does a new exhaust produce. Can you feel a massive difference or not? I`m looking at it and have been quoted £500 ($1000) all in for a steal exhaust or £700 ($1400) for stainless.
A Corsa catback won't really buy you any power. I put them on my LT4 because it was too quiet. The Corsa gives you the best of both worlds. NO resonance at cruise. Throaty when you stand on it.
I have tried stock, borla, Magnaflow and Corsa in alot of different setups, with LT´s guttet cats, test pipes ets...Corsa and magnaflow sounds best for sure..

This clip does no justice. That must be stock headers and y-pipe and the 2.5" catback. My car is MUCH MUCH louder than that and sounds way better. I have the EM coated LT's, Magnaflow O/R X-pipe and full 3" B&B catback. Lucky for me, i bought the car this way as well but it sounds so good with the hotcam and everything.
Ill get a clip tomorrow so you guys can see what your missing...
Thats without headers . Did you get a clip of your exhaust.
From what i have found after seeing this post, Corsa is only sold as a complete catback and they only offer 2.5" systems...
The Vette Doctors tested a Corsa set up next to a B&B the Corsa made the same same hp as the B&B until the 430-450rwhp range.
not many people here will be affected The B&B has 3" piping but its somewhat clogged, which is why the B&B seems to get quieter in the upper rpm range instead of the loudness growing at a consistent pace.
Listen to a Corsa setup with no cats or resonator at 6k rpm...I haven't experienced it but reading this board people say its too much.
What nobody here has addressed yet is if he is running stock exhaust. If he his Corsa will not work. They don't make cat back for the L83. They start the L98 at 86. So if your willing to buy one and adapt it then go for it. If your looking for bolt on then it's a no go.
