Just use a pair of pliers and pull it off. I would replace with a new seal.

OK got it off and got the new ones. now Im really confused. the ones I pulled off looked to be compressed onto the shaft (holding them on) and the new ones just slide over (really sloppy). Is there a tool to crimp them on? or am I missing something?

Thats what I thought. But they go on really sloppy. If you put it on and turned the head over, they would fall off. AGGHHH. The only thing I am wondering is if they are different since they are 'not stock' I bought them from More performance.??? But you would think the shoulder is the same??!!??

Hmmm, looks like your heads have been machined for a smaller seal?

I'm beginning to wonder. This is the first time I have torn them down to this point. How or where would I start in getting the right ones?

Mine look exactly like the ones on the right and left in your pic, I have no idea about the one on the middle!

Will the smaller spring fit over the new seal. If not, your heads probably have been machined to fit the smaller seals.
From what I could find. The stock guides should measure .556
