heads.....need quick help
I have a broken spring cup in my heads. I have removed the spring.......now how do I get the oil seal out to replace the cup??

Just use a pair of pliers and pull it off. I would replace with a new seal.

OK got it off and got the new ones. now Im really confused. the ones I pulled off looked to be compressed onto the shaft (holding them on) and the new ones just slide over (really sloppy). Is there a tool to crimp them on? or am I missing something?

Thats what I thought. But they go on really sloppy. If you put it on and turned the head over, they would fall off. AGGHHH. The only thing I am wondering is if they are different since they are 'not stock' I bought them from More performance.??? But you would think the shoulder is the same??!!??

I'm beginning to wonder. This is the first time I have torn them down to this point. How or where would I start in getting the right ones?

My springs are double springs. Could/would that make a difference??

Will the smaller spring fit over the new seal. If not, your heads probably have been machined to fit the smaller seals.
From what I could find. The stock guides should measure .556

Stock being .556. Mine have been turned down to .530 with 11/32" valves. Comp cam pt # 503-16.??????
